A DefCon milestone: Our one millionth visitor.

It was two years ago that DefCon entered the blogoshphere and today we’re celebrating our one millionth visitor. We’re marking the occasion with a whole new look, and I’ll be tweaking it over the week to come till it’s perfect.

We’ve seen a lot, been through a lot, learned a lot, and grown a lot. What keeps us going is the myriad of comments and e-mails from those whose lives have been changed, strengthened, and encouraged by this blog. We truly appreciate our readers and would not be where we’re at today if it weren’t for you.

We also know that this will not last forever. Like many things in life, there is a season for everything, and seasons come and go. The handwriting is already on the wall, and sites like this will be labeled “illegal” and “subversive” in the near future as attacks and persecution continue to increase worldwide against Christians who preach and hold to the exclusivity of Christ.

We appreciate your continued support as we work while there’s still light, for the darkness is fast approaching when we will no longer be able to labor for the Kingdom. Again, thank you all for your readership and encouragement.

  1. Thank you, for being here to defend and contend for the faith!
I have been blessed by your ministry.

  2. It’s wonderful that you’ve reached so many people! I’ve been a defcon reader for the past few months. I’ve only commented maybe once, but I’m a daily reader, and I appreciate the effort and dedication put into this blog. I have learned a lot and have been informed about a lot of things through this blog, and I’m sure others have too. It’s refreshing to see unwillingness to compromise the Word of God in a day when compromise is the norm and orthodoxy is seen as “divisive”.
Keep defending and contending all to the glory of God!

    Christ is King!

  3. May God continue to use you to shine that uncomfortable spotlight of Truth into the dark, exposing the evil and teaching the righteousness of God.

    God bless your faithfulness!

  4. Pilgrim:

I am very, very grateful for this site. Thank you for your perseverance and dedication, as I have no doubt those “1 million” visitors have not all been supportive, nor easy to deal with. May the Lord Jesus continue to grant you the wisdom and strength you need for the time He would have this site used for His glory.

May the Lord richly bless all who have contributed to defending the Faith and contending for the Truth of God’s word. And may we all remember that any strength, any wisdom, any reasoning, any defense that is fruitful in His service is strictly from the Holy Spirit, for His glory, honor, and praise.

Press on brethren, in the strength of His might.

  5. Pilgrim,
you are correct in saying ‘the handwriting is on the wall’ and ‘this won’t last forever’. I just read an article where a street preacher in Great Britain was arrested for saying homosexuality is a sin

This blog has been a blessing; when I was invited to join I was humbly honored. I pray those of us who contribute to DefCon always bear in mind why we post what we post. Time is short, we may soon be arrested ourselves and imprisoned because we profess Christ, or even martyred. The recent message by Dr. Lawson was a blessing, I urge all to listen to it.

To my brothers who contribute here, I pray for you to continue persevering and being bold as you hold fast, all by the power and might of our Lord.

To all my brothers and sisters in Christ who read this blog, whether or not you post is irrelevant, I thank God for each of you. Please, let us pray for one another fervently, without ceasing. Let us also pray for lost loved ones. Again, time is short.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!

  6. A day without Defcon is like a day without…well…DefCon. 🙂

May the Lord continue to bless the givers and receivers (of which I am one) of this invaluable blog.

    Congrats and thanks!

  7. Yep, our days of discernment blogging are probably numbered as the days are growing darker. I am thankful for this blog and others that have taught me so much. Congratulations on your millionth! I pray there will be a million more.

  8. As I am sure many readers will attest, you can feel the gloom setting in, like arthritis in the bones when weather comes. This world is heading toward its finish line and so must we. As our Master decreed, let the wicked continue to do wickedly, and let the righteous continue in righteousness.

DefCon has been and continues to be a very great help to me, for warning, for instruction, for resources, for rebuke, and for encouragement. Praise be to God for it and thanks be to those who maintain and contribute to it!

  9. Congratulations on ministering to over 1 million people! Even those who’ve come to make trouble have been confronted with the truth of God’s Word. Someday you’ll know the incredible impact of your hard work to the Body of Christ! Thank you!

  10. Congratulations DefCon. Blessings to all of you. I am very grateful to DefCon and I also have learned heaps from this site.
I’m with Paul Latour A day without DefCon is like a day without well DefCon. Again blessings I appreciate this ministry very, very much. Thank you
