You deserve the best?

I’m not sure which “church” this comes from, but they offer the following necessities (emphasis theirs):

– Text messaging: Interactive communication during the service.

– Youth dramas and kids’ choir presentations.

– Video message enhancements.

– Refreshing atmosphere.

– Get out in plenty of time for lunch.

– Message that brings out the best in you.

– Inspiration and encouragement that will see you throughout your week.

  1. I cringe when I read things like this. At the church I attended, people would come in late, then stay up the back having coffee, eating and talking. All this while the service was on. The pastor thought that was fine. I was in trouble when I told someone if they are having coffee to have it before the service. Why can’t we stop pleasing ourselves for a couple of hours. We are truly in the Laodicean age

  2. Well, they’ve all got to get to the all-you-can eat buffet before the Fried Chicken runs out!

What about those who are starved for God’s Word?

“Behold the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not famine of bread, or thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD”

    Amos 8:11

    We’re there.

  3. “Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is their shame, who mind earthly things.” Phil 3:19

  4. Just drive around sometime and read the little signs outside of churches. They are meant to be clever and cute to get your attention.

You would be surprised to see how many of them are completely missing the mark when it comes to bring glory to God!

  5. On first reading, I was hoping that this was a joke…. what kind of church would make a point of noting that the visitor will “get out in time for lunch”(!!)
