I enjoy telling people the greatest news in the history of the world—the gospel. Two of the toughest places to do that are: 1. Here on the Internet. 2. Downtown in my hometown on Friday or Saturday night. The people on blogs are more passionate about what they believe than the average individual, and better able to defend it. The people hanging around downtown are in the midst of their sin, and don’t always appreciate being reminded of their need to turn from it. Even though I’ve found myself proclaiming the gospel in two tough places, I have been richly blessed by my adventures in obedience to the Great Commission. And it makes me all the more excited when I get the opportunity to witness in a less hostile setting. If you’re a Christian, I hope to encourage you to get started witnessing or to continue witnessing. If you’re not a Christian, I hope to help you realize that you were not born all right the first time, and you must be born again.
Blog: Absolute Dominion
Greetings and welcome to DefCon! By way of introduction I am a born-again Christian who seeks to live in the presence of, under the authority of, and to the honor and glory of the Triune Yahweh Elohim Shaddai–the One True and Living LORD God Almighty Who is the totally self contained, completely self sufficient, and absolutely unique and infinite Creator of all things.

I believe the historic, orthodox, Biblical Christian faith as expounded solely in the 66 books of the Holy Bible is the only true and right religion that God Himself has revealed to mankind and all other faiths and extra-Biblical sources of revelation are absolutely false and without any eternal merit or redemptive power whatsoever. Through this medium I hope to share my worldview with any who are interested, and in this manner I hope to expand my witness to the lost, and extend whatever ability I’ve been given to edify the believer to the praise of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, the risen Savior.

I was “saved” when I was just 13 back in 1983, but was I’d term a false convert without knowing it for a really long time. After leaving the youth group that I was in (The Navigators) while at college, the world beckoned and I succumbed, having no more protective bubble to restrain me. The world got a tighter hold on me when I enlisted for mandatory service in the Armed Forces.
It was only in recent years that God pulled me back to the straight and narrow and I truly knew that I was indeed saved. All praise goes to God for His grace and love for pulling a sinner such as me back from false belief! Soli deo Gloria!
By way of introduction, I am a 37-year-old man residing in Singapore, married to a lovely wife for more than a decade now, but childless. English is my first language, but I also read, write and speak Chinese well.
Having learned the hard way what a false belief can lead to, I am very concerned about many who I believe might be false converts, believing that they are saved but not leading a true Christian life. I cringe when people are told at altar calls to repeat a simple prayer and become a Christian.
Besides evangelism, I am also very passionate about warning people of the falsehoods that abound today in our churches today, especially the Word of Faith movement and prosperity gospel that are leading many to the broad road of destruction.
Shalom Aleichem.
