Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

The very same passage my wife wrote a letter around, to me when I had let my job get me down with the dreary, unfulfilling nature of it. What a blessing the Word of God is, even when it is a rebuke from a brother or sister in Christ, used as intended by the Lord.
His beautiful, beautiful Word. During our catechism/devotions with the children we discussed the authority which directs us to glorify God (His Word). It reminded us to be thankful for it! We prayed as a family….thankful for God’s Word given to us.
Amen!
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4
Whenever, wherever, whatever….. again I say REJOICE!
When we rejoice, we will find it easier to pray. When we are praying without ceasing, we will find it easier to accept whatever the will of God is for us. However, when we are not rejoicing in the goodness of God, we will struggle to pray. When we spend no time in prayer, we will also struggle to accept what God’s will is for us.
