If you were to be stranded on a deserted island and could only have five Old Testament Books and five New Testament books, which would you choose?
My ten (in order of appearance) would be:
Great question! Mine would be:
4. 1 John
I’m actually kind of upset you limited me to 5 in the NT LOL…
That’s a hard choice:
3. 2 Peter
I never said this was going to be easy!
OT Choices –
NT Choices –
1. 1 Peter
Interesting question. I’d go with Genesis, Exodus, Joshua, Psalms, Proverbs, Matthew, Luke, John, Acts, Ephesians.
Ha, good eye. That WAS very sneaky.
The following is my list with my reasons in ()!
1.) Genesis (foundation)
2.) Psalms (Worship)
3.) Proverbs (Practical life wisdom)
4.) Daniel (Messianic prophecies and prophecies of end times)
5.) Zechariah (Messianic prophecies and prophecies of end times)
1.) Luke (Long account of Jesus earthly ministry)
2.) John (Rich account of Jesus’ earthly ministry)
3.) Acts (History of the early church; with )
4.) Romans (Gospel explained!)
5.) Revelation (Much to dig through)
OT: Genesis, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Jeremiah
NT: Matthew, John, Romans, 1 John, Revelation
A lot harder to pick then I thought it was gonna be HaHa! Ecclesiastes is my most favorite book.
OT Jeremiah, Isaiah, Proverbs, Psalms, Malichi
NT Matthew, Acts, Romans, Ephesians, 1 Peter
Later on can we pick the top ten chapters of the Bible, Because I have my list picked many years ago. :)
