Wow. That hits deeply.
Surprisingly, the preacher at my previous church observed the spiritual shallowness of the flock he had inherited – and used that as an excuse to present pablum rather than the Gospel in his preaching. Now there’s a continuing wide, shallow group at the church!
Goats want to be fussed over and told how valuable they are. Sheep want to be convicted of sin by the Word of God and see Christ exalted as their only hope.
Some things don’t change.
