God has designed your family—not the youth group, not the children’s ministry, not the Christian school, but your family—as the principle discipling agent in your children’s lives.

“But why”, the worldling asks, “do we care what God has said? Let’s try something that works!”
So true so true Manfred. That’s sadly the world of the youth group/ministry anymore.
To them, don’t teach:
The Gospel
To them, do teach:
How to lick peanut butter off others
Listen to songs by groups like P.O.D.
Play games like spin the bottle (actually have heard of youth groups doing this)
Dance competitions that include what you, sadly, see in a lot of today’s rap videos or at high school dances
Tell stories about King David or Moses but make sure to make the stories not so sound Biblical
How to deal with “Pharisees” and “Heresy Hunters”
This is what I desire God to work in my family when I have one…I’m the product of “church-only” learning…and am currently undergoing the undoing of those affects…
AMEN brother Baucham!
Thank you for these quotes…
Many like myself have never heard these words preached or expounded on.
And many more still will not, unless we pass this along.
This is so true! Too bad more parents don’t realize that instead of dropping their children off for someone else to raise!
This is why the family is being targeted so much. Take a look at what is happening over in the UK with the Nanny State garbage.
