Please Pray for Our Persecuted Brothers and Sisters

As we enjoy the comforts of home, family, and the warmness of this holiday season, take a moment and watch this. Warning, some scenes may be too graphic for the fainthearted.

  1. And we feel persecuted in America when we are greeted with happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas.

  2. Thank you for the reminder. How long, oh Lord? Break our hearts for the things that grieve you. Comfort those who love you more than life and are hated by the world. Show us, dear Lord, the narrow way – where the path is hard and crowd small, and the end of which is life eternal.

  3. While we open gifts in our comfortable homes, eat way too much, and enjoy our abundant blessings, our brothers and sisters are celebrating Christmas too. They’re meeting in secret places, worshipping in their homes, and telling the Christmas story to their children from memory, because they don’t even have a copy of God’s Word! How spoiled and selfish we are! The time is coming SOON when the church in America will have to endure persecution. LORD, help me to be ready!

  4. Joanne,
this is so very true. There are Christians who memorize entire books of the bible, they tear out the pages and treasure God’s word, treating it as though it were invaluable treasure. They teach others, from memory, God’s truth. Most Americans are too lazy to even crack open a bible, let alone memorize it. I am guilty of not spending enough time in scripture memorization.

Persecution is indeed coming to America, and has already come to some. Those who claim to be Christian are the ones we need to be wary of. When persecution comes, the church grows. May the Lord’s will be done.

May Christ awaken His church, we are headed for very turbulent times. Those who want the comforts of this life will not endure the persecution that is rapidly approaching.
Let us all pray for one another.

    Lyn

  5. Sobering Joanne, very sobering words indeed.

And what an utterly disturbing video, Lyn. Disturbing but a much needed reminder about what genuine Christianity illicits in others (like the “peaceful” Hindus in the video).

What a stark contrast to how we are so “secure” in America.

This “security” will not last forever.

With a heavy heart this Christmas for our brothers and sisters around the world,

  6. May the Lord keep this reminder ever before us!

  7. unworthy1:
Thanks so much for posting. And I liked your comment: “Those who want the comforts of this life will not endure the persecution that is rapidly approaching.”

  8. Without the Spirit of God in me I would certainly HATE these hindu’s.

These brethren are in my prayers.
