A bad economy is never a good thing…….or is it? God used swarms of locusts to destroy the crops in Judah, in order that the people would stop depending on the sacrifices in the temple to cover their sins, and return to obedience to YHVH. Joel 1:13-14–“Gird yourselves and lament, you priests; wail, you who minister before the altar; come, lie all night in sackcloth, you who minister to my God; for the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your God. Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.”
Well, now, all those who have “sown” into Rod Parsley’s “ministry” in order to get their “abundance” and their “breakthrough” may have to send their money elsewhere. Seems that things aren’t going so good in the Rod Parsley House of Heresy™ (from the Columbus [OH] Dispatch):
The headline of the appeal for donations reads: “Will you help me take back what the devil stole?”
When asked to comment yesterday, Parsley’s World Harvest Church issued a statement saying the recession caused a decline in member giving in 2009, which has led to a fourth-quarter deficit of $3 million despite a 30 percent reduction in the budget.
This year, the church settled for $3.1 million with a family whose son was spanked at its day-care center in 2006, to the point his buttocks and legs were covered with welts and abrasions.
The boy, then 2, said he was spanked with a “knife” by a substitute teacher. His parents, Michael and Lacey Faieta, believe it was a ruler.
Yeah, the devil stole that money, alright. He used Rod Parsley to steal that money from people who could least deserve to lose it.
Perhaps Rod can put his money where his mouth is (pun intended), practice what he preaches, and “sow a seed” into a ministry that takes the gospel to the poor and the sick. And by “gospel” I mean the REAL gospel–the one that says we are dead sinners who need the blood of Christ to pay the debt we owe to God. Not the heretical “prosperity” gibberish that spews from Parsley’s mouth.

Rod Parsley is a gready money devil.
Yeah, tell the raging prophet to sell that airplane and sell that home that he bought with GODs money and give it to the poor as JESUS required him to do in the book of Matthew.
I do feel sorry for so called preachers that get on TV and beg for money and use it to their own reasons, JESUS said go ye out into the world and preach the gospel, sell that which you have and give it to the poor. Now a days they gather what they can for themselves and let the poor die. GOD will say, I NEVER KNEW YOU, DEPART FROM ME INTO THE EVERLASTING FIRE PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS.
and its not going to be long before HE returns and there is going to be a lot of these so called preachers disapointed in what JESUS is going to say to them.
If yall folks think you are right you are absolutely wrong and if you fail to repent your destiny is hell bound. so what if the man has a jet, that’s to get him place to place to preach the gospel, and so what if the man has a nice home, God has blessed with it. And you folks Christians are suppose to poor, not so, Can you find where in the bible it say’s Christians are suppose to poor and not have anything. Also the story when Jesus told the rich man to give all he had but didn’t, was implying that the money was the rich man’s god. So Jesus knew that wealth was in his way from making it to heaven. It’s ok to be a preacher and be wealthy just as long as the wealth doesn’t become their god. Yall are just jealous. yall are wrong too. dead wrong you the publisher of this article the writer of this article and those that are in agreement with the writing are playing a dangerous game by putting your mouth on the man of God. Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. Repent while you have a chance. this man preaches the truth and I know for sure God is well please with any preacher who don’t hold back from the truth. And that is exactly what rod parsley does he don’t hold back from preaching the truth.

Marcus, how do u know Rod Parsley is truly a man of God? Money has nothing 2 do with what he preaches. He preaches that u have 2 continually “work” to keep ur salvation. Show me one place in the Bible that tells me that once I have repented of my sins, and accepted Christ as my Savior that if I die without confessing a sin that I will go to hell? This is what Pastor Parsley teaches, and I do NOT agree with that. So do not tell me that I am jealous, for I am not, I am very contented with what I have. Futher more, I do not begrudge any Christian their blessings of money or other nice things at all. But just because Rod Parsley stands up and preaches, does not make him a Christian. I believe u r very mislead. I will pray 4 u on this matter.
