Brookstone and the Homosexual Agenda

Brookstone, a store known for innovative gadgets, fired Peter Vadala from his sales position at the Logan Airport branch in Boston, MA.  Fired because Mr. Vadala stood up for his Christian faith and vocalized his disapproval of a homosexual union which a Brookstone female manager made repeated references to in approaching Mr. Vadala during the work day.  And of course as we all know nary a word can be spoken against the sin of homosexuality without all the fury of hell being unleashed to beat the person speaking such non-politically correct words into silence.

This being exactly what Brookstone has done by firing Mr. Vadala.  A company that prides itself on tolerance but this so-called tolerance is only a one-way street.  A one-way street because even though Mr. Vadala was extremely offended by this manager and her relationship, his feelings and religious beliefs (which Brookstone says they defend) are immaterial because homosexuals want über (supreme) rights.

To read about this case, please see the article at WND here.  You also can check out MassResistance which deals with cases such as these.  Also, I highly encourage readers to contact Brookstone by writing a letter, e-mailing, or calling in order to voice your disappointment with their decision (get your friends and others to do so likewise).  In so doing, please be strong in your beliefs and wording, but take note to reflect Christ and not give the Gentiles an opportunity to blaspheme God.  Also, tell them you will be voting with your dollars and not supporting their store.  Sadly, the voice of mammon is the typically the only voice that corporations give ear to.

  1. It seems the pendulum only swings one way in this ‘tolerance’ so many speak of. They tolerate abominations, yet will lash out against truth and anyone who stands for it. It makes you wonder how much longer will our Holy God tolerate this wicked and perverse generation? Let’s keep standing firm, all by His power, as we speak the truth to lost sinners who have no hope and will very soon face the wrath of an angry God because of their impenitent hearts. There is a short, informative post on this very sin at Ken Silva’s blog.

‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil’…

  2. As things grow worse, we will see people become more intolerant of Christian beliefs! Even a lot of the people who say they are Christians put up a cry against true believers who speak out against sin. It is something we must continue to expect in these days!

  3. “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men cast insults at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:10-12).

My prayers go out for Mr. Vadala, that he may realize the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord. May the Lord bless him for standing up for His righteousness.

In response to unworthy1; maybe the Lord is no longer tolerating this generation? Please read this sermon by John MacArthur: http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/GTY109. The topic is how God has abandoned this nation.

  4. The Pilgrim – Thank you! I only found Def.Con. last week, and I haven’t had much opportunity to read the archives. I definitely did not go back to 2007.

I have listened to John MacArthur’s sermon several times, I have it on cd. It truly is a message many should listen to. The judgment of God has indeed fallen on this sinful nation in which we live; sexual perversion and immorality are everywhere. I was referring to the final judgment, the end of all things. It does make you wonder how long the Lord will tarry….but, then again, the Lord is not concerned so much with the wicked as He is with His own.
I hope you will be blessed by what you find here at DefCon; may we always strive to edify one another, to encourage and love each other as Christ loved us so He may be glorified.
