It is sad that so many people get into the whole signs and wonders movement. I used to be caught up in it. I never was a big fan of Benny though.

It also saddens me at how angry people get when you point out errors of their favorite teachers or when you question them about some of their beliefs (holy laughter, spirit drunkeness, slain in the spirit, disorder in the church caused by a “move of the spirit”) and show them there is no Biblical basis for it.

The answer I always get is somewhere along the lines of “well I experienced it”.

I have had a few experiences myself (drunkeness and the like) but I have found that none of it made me have a deeper hunger for the Word or a “better Christian”.

What made me get a hunger for the Word and to walk closer with God is when I began to question myself about the things I was seeing and participating in church.

and if you manage to duck out of the way of the sport coat you still have to watch out for his breath. He will huff and puff and knock you to the floor.

I wonder if when he waves at someone he knows, lets say he sees them in a mall, if that person and all those around him hit the floor?

The music is actually from the song “Dreams” by Van Halen (during the Sammy Hagar years), and I believe the clips of the aircraft carrier were from that music video.

I remember watching these guys shortly after I got saved. It was right about the time I starting being more discerning of TV preachers. And even then I couldn’t get past the whole “Transformer” thing.

What utter nonsense! What or who do they think they are? God doesn’t answer directly to them. They sound like they are on a “power” trip and they think they have power when in reality they have a dead religion!
