Jan Markell from Worldview Times has written an open letter to Pastor Pope (maybe we should say) Honorary Imam Rick Warren. In a recent event, he spoke to a group of Muslims and in one fell swoop endorsed their religion and undermined the revivals taking place in many Islamic countries where thousands are turning to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Here is an excerpt from that letter.
Joseph Farah says, “Suffice it to say the ISNA is no friend of Christianity or America.” Yet in 2007, Rick Warren was one of many “evangelical leaders” who signed a document begging forgiveness from Muslims for all the evil deeds perpetrated against them by Christians. What evil deeds have true Christians committed against Muslims? Now, Pastor Warren, you’ve gone beyond pandering and are sounding like a fool along with all others who signed that document.
Even the secular Washington Times noted, “Mr. Warren was sparse in his mentions of Jesus and God.” But since works and good deeds were stressed, this reinforced the belief of ISNA members that works will help them get to Heaven.
You may read the rest of this very appropriate and timely letter to a man who chose to forsake his calling as a minister of the Lord Jesus Christ for the call to expediency and “coalitions of faith” with Islam. Surely, the evil one must be roaring with delight!

Watching the Apostasy Deepen!
The Desert Pastor
Gee, Desert Pastor, you must have been reading my thoughts. I told a friend about TWO WEEKS AGO that we may as well be calling Rick, “Imam” Warren.
But, in all seriousness, this is an example of trying to the CHRIST out of Christianity. It’s a gospel of good deeds, which unfortunately for Rick Warren, has NO SAVING POWER WHATSOEVER. Rick Warren may be bringing a “gospel” (the social gospel) but it sure ain’t the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rick Warren may just as soon rip 2nd Corinthians 6:14 out of his Bible.
Your right on target with this!! Warren believes in manipulation rather than love. I got an e-mail from Warren where he argued that we have to become like all people.
I can’t see Paul while being whipped saying that he would affirm the Roman religion and that he wanted to work with the Romans and Jews to make the middle east or Rome for the matter a better place to live…
Warren’s philosophy is no where found in the Bible. The Bible says, “Preach the Word.” Warren needs to crack it open!

I thought I would clear that up. Brannon Howse’s site is worth visiting. He also hosts Code Blue Rallys that teach a biblical world view. I attended one in October 2008 and it was an eye opener.
