As our readership knows DefCon is not a political blog, it is a theological blog, or what is commonly known as a “God-blog“. Yet this being said it is often difficult, if not impossible, to separate religion and politics, especially when it comes to matters of state sanctioned abomination; the holocaust of legalized infanticide being but one horrific example among many.
Biblical morality and ethics necessarily influence and determine the outworking of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and as such our worldviews must necessarily collide at all levels with the secular human materialist-nihilist worldview that dominates the modern American philosophical landscape, which thing is embodied by America’s peculiarly perverse predilection for the soteriology of gnostic governance. Light and darkness have no communion, and therefore Christians are by default at enmity with the spirit of the age, the wicked and demonic spiritual powers and principalities that hold this fallen world in their evil sway. The anti-christ spirit of the age is manifest in many ways, but one of its more obvious manifestations is the so-called wisdom of the world system that paints evil as good and good as evil, demonstrating its ungodliness by deeds which deny the Creator that is blessed forever and ever, and which simultaneously exalt the creature, thereby seeking to supplant the One True and Living God.
It is this gnostic form of human governance - which has become a surrogate idolatrous god and “savior” to so many – that is the focus of the short video below. This nation has codified into man’s law that which is against the natural law of God, and not being satisfied with the bare permission to murder innocent children, our government subsidizes the abhorrent practice in violation not only of God’s law, but in violation of its own stated principles of protecting its citizenry and “securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity”. How subsidizing and encouraging the murder America’s posterity secures them the blessings of liberty presents a strange quandary indeed.
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:32)
