Yikes. Thanks for the heads up. I don’t think I’d ever be able to convince a lady at work to stop reading his self-help material, though.

Jakes is a real heretic, that is, if you follow scripture. It’s hard to believe the things that you do coming from so called ‘Christians’ nowadays. But at the same time, there’s no surprise anymore. You just think, ‘what’s next?’

The fact that people use self-help books, shows that the Bible is not enough for them, they need something else. I guess they want their ears tickled, and the Bible is not into that.

    God bless.

    Just wondering…..
I can see that the whole inclusion ‘thing’ is something the Word of Faith movement may have in common with the ‘emergent’ movement…..
Does anybody else have any ideas what common ground these groups may have.
I’ve been trying to rack my brain to find the common denominator (if there is one, apart from the fact that they are not biblical).
Could we ever see Todd Bentley and Rob Bell on a platform together…..on anything?
Or do they ‘throw’ rocks at each other – or perhaps not, emergents don’t throw rocks at anyone…
    Any help out there?

They all have mysticism in common. Or maybe spiritualism might be a better word???….

as long as you experience some type of spiritual manifestation and/or practice some type of eastern meditation you will always fit in with the emergent and charismatic crowds.

So I could see Bentley sharing the stage with the emergent bunch and them having a good time together

That might be the “next big revival outpouring”.?.

It would be the pinacle of scripture twisting and false teaching. Just leave your Bible at home. they will twist the scriptures so bad you wouldn’t be able to follow along anyway. It would also be too hard to read it while you are constantly being hit in the forehead to be “slain in the spirit”

they might could start a church and call it the Emerging Pentecostal Church of Light and Brotherly Love

  5. No, no, no! There’s only one way! And it’s through the Cross – completely washed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

Keep exposing the false ones, my friend. People need to know the truth.
