Whose Line is it Anyway?

I found this thought provoking article over at Camp On This and after reading through Campi’s post a couple of times I suddenly realized that the bland, generic, bloodless, sinless, palatable, unassuming, unimposing, inoffensive non-gospel of nothingness that’s being served up weekly by the shameless spiritual snake-oil salesman Smilin’ Joel Osteen is the selfsame Nerf theology which is embraced and espoused by President-elect Barak Obama.

OBAMA responding to the exclusivity of the truth claims of Christianity:
I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell.

I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.

OSTEEN responding to the exclusivity of the truth claims of Christianity:
Well, I don’t know if I believe they’re wrong. I believe here’s what the Bible teaches and from the Christian faith this is what I believe. But I just think that only God with judge a person’s heart. I spent a lot of time in India with my father. I don’t know all about their religion. But I know they love God. And I don’t know. I’ve seen their sincerity. So I don’t know. I know for me, and what the Bible teaches, I want to have a relationship with Jesus. (source)

From Osteen to Obama and from A to Z we are witnessing nothing less than a nation filled with itching ears false converts as it’s being led upon the broad way that leads to destruction by ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing who are mercilessly rending Christ’s little flock with their damnable doctrines of demons.  Though it should be understood that I am not here assigning their offices to Barak Obama and Joel Osteen,  I am nevertheless persuaded that the spirit of anti-christ and that of the false prophet are exemplified (typified) in these men and their satanic characteristics are in full view for all the world to see. 

Modern American-style church-ianity has sold her spiritual birthright for a worthless bowl of worldly porridge yet not unlike Esau she bitterly weeps and pines away, seemingly oblivious as to why she can’t receive the blessing.

In closing I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out Campi’s own chilling observation – an observation which I’ve noticed emanating from a growing number of serious-minded believers as of late:

Lastly, so that we can better prepare and equip ourselves biblically for what I believe will be a coming persecution of genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who live and proclaim the gospel of sola fide in this nation (1 Peter 4:12-19).
