Quotes (384)

The supreme authority of the Bible is established both by its divine origin and inspiration (2 Pet. 1:21). It is the infallible Word of God, and it will accomplish God’s purpose (Isaiah 55:11). It is the very foundation upon which all Christian truths rest. For followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible is the final court of appeal in all matters pertaining to faith and godliness.

Mike Gendron has the ability to say so much in a single sentence. I would urge anyone who has the ability to attend one of his presentations to definately do so.
He preached a Fall Bible Conference in a church I attended and it was a great experience. See his website at http://www.pro-gospel.org.

I thought Jesus was the Word of God. I also thought He was the Alpha and the Omega, the final Judge – not the bible.

  3. jimfox,

Thanks for reading at DefCon. Jesus Christ is the Word of God and the Alpha and Omega. He is also the One Who will judge mankind at the end of time.

We say the Bible is the final court of appeal (2 Pet. 1:3) because there is no other book to which we can turn for answers. We also believe there is any direct revelation whereby God speaks directly to the men, but that the Bible is complete for all that pertains to life and godliness.
