Quotes (304)

paul-washer.jpg In modern day evangelism, this precious doctrine [of regeneration] has been reduced to nothing more than a human decision to raise one’s hand, walk an aisle, or pray a “sinner’s prayer.” As a result, the majority of Americans believe that they’ve been “born again” (i.e., regenerated) even though their thoughts, words, and deeds are a continual contradiction to the nature and will of God.

  1. My thoughts, words and deeds are a continual contradiction to the nature and will of God…and I’m a believer!

Isn’t it great that I do not have to meet the level of holiness required by God in order that I be forgiven and made His child?

I believe that being a Christian is to be declared righteous for Jesus’ sake.

I certainly do agree that “free will” “decision” theology is a terrible thing and does lead many to a false sense of security.

That’s why I put my trust in God’s decision for me…on the cross and in my baptism. His decision…His will for sinners, can be trusted absolutely…in spite of my not measuring up.

    That’s the gospel. Thanks.
